The roots of our legal heritage in the United States of America may be traced all the way back to the precepts established in the older of the two testaments found in the Bible. The pages which follow depict some of the foundation blocks upon which our current system of laws and jurisprudence was built, for example: the Magna Carta, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Bill of Rights.
