Christian Camps and Conference Centers

I'll limit my selections to two that I have visited and which embodied a well-rounded camping experience for the entire family, addressing these goals and values: sound Bible based teachers, recreational opportunities, and accommodations.

our family attended family camp for about 20 years at the Horn Creek Christian Camp and Conference Grounds in Westcliffe, Colorado -- incredible memories and a cool get-away from the Texas heat! while the accommodations may not rival my second pick described below, Horn Creek Christian Camp and Conference Grounds offers the Sangre de Cristo (literally, the "blood of Christ") Mountain Range in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, mountain streams and lakes (and fishing), white water rafting about an hour and a half away, gifted Bible teachers, and the occasional bear make up the difference! so if you'd like to check out a different out-of-state venue for a family vacation (which might result in a new annual family tradition):

my second pick acknowledges that a lot of people love Texas and prefer staying closer to home; I've attended many men's retreats at Pine Cove Christian Camp (near Tyler, Texas; and they also have a camp near Columbus, Texas) and I've never been disappointed in the facilities, the quality of the Bible teaching, or in their incredibly friendly staff; so if you want to check out an in-state venue for a family vacation:
