Can You Have A Lease, But Nowhere to Go?

It has been well over a decade now, but there was a fairly large office building in Houston with a high occupancy rate. During remodeling of a tenant space, a contractor discovered asbestos throughout the building and reported it to the landlord, after first pulling their workers off the job site.  After quickly consulting with asbestos remediation experts about the significant danger, the landlord ordered everyone out of the building and then closed the building to all tenants - for the duration of the asbestos remediation which took months to complete . . .
